June 27, 2008 () - Despite Britney Spears' lackluster performance at MTV Video Music Awards 2007, Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, does no rule out Britney reappearing on the show this year! However, he wouldn't say if he was kidding!
"Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?" Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks Music Group, told the Associated Press Friday, June 27, 2008
Asked if he was just joking, Toffler said, "Sorta."
"Who knows?" he added.
VMA 2008 will air live from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles on September 7.
Almost nothing went right for Britney during her performance of Gimme More at VMA 2007 on Sunday 09 Sep 2007. She was raunchily dressed in a black and silver glitter bikini, looked out of shape and appeared tentative on high heels as she attempted to lip synch to her song totally outgrooved by her backup dancers.
The underwhelming performance prompted comedian Sarah Silverman to remark, "She is amazing. She is 25 years old and has already accomplished everything she is going to accomplish in her life."
